Charleston, South Carolina
Hey, everyone! I went to Charleston, SC last summer and I just wanted to share some pictures and some tips for if you are planning to visit this lovely place. Before going I did a lot of research of all the fun things we could do. I found a bunch of amazing places and things to do but I knew we could only do so much.

First I'm going to talk about some of the places I went and what I recommend doing. Then I'm going to talk about what you should consider packing.
Places to go:
Some must see places in my opinion would be the Pineapple Water Fountain located at Waterfront Park, the South Carolina Aquarium, Rainbow Row, and my personal favorite Patriots Point. The South Carolina Aquarium was so cool, it had a lot of different marine life to look at. We also got to do a tour of their turtle hospital, where they help rehabilitate and release turtles that were found injured in the ocean.

Patriots Point is a naval and maritime museum where you can explore an aircraft carrier, a destroyer, and a submarine. They also have a section called the Vietnam experience and a medal of honor museum. There was so much to explore and do there I would really recommend going and having a lot of time when you go, there is so much to do there. We also got lucky because there was a sailing race going on next to it so you could watch it from the top of the aircraft carrier. It had both guided tours and self guided tours.

We also took a trip to Folly Beach which wasn't too far away, but worth the trip. We ended up not doing a lot of it because we really took our time with the places we went. One of the places that I had had planned was going on a ghost tour, I thought that would be super interesting and kinda scary, but I would still recommend this as something to do. But my biggest suggestion would be to sight see there is so much history to see and learn, and it is really beautiful. But this is just a few things you can do, there is so much more for all price ranges. If you are planning on going I hope you have as much fun as I did!

What to pack:
Now for what I would recommend wearing. Since it does get super hot there I suggest lots of tank tops, dresses and light T-shirts. It's important to be comfy in the heat. But the most important tip I could give you is prepare for rain. When I was there it would be sunny all day then rain out of nowhere. I am not talking about light rain showers, prepare for down pours. So if you are planning a trip in the future I would recommend packing your rain gear, or shoes that you do not mind getting wet. I brought my favorite rain boots, yes of course they were my Hunter boots. These boots can pair well with pants, a dress, or even shorts. They are super comfy for walking around in and completely waterproof for jumping in any puddles. But other than the rain Charleston is a beautiful place full of so many things to do and see. Also I have attached some pictures from my trip, hope you enjoy!

If you feel like driving:
I would recommend heading to Hilton Head Island there is so much to do there! But most importantly check out the Salty Dog Cafe. The food there was so delicious it was one of the best meals I had down there. Along with the restaurant there are several other food places associated with the Salty Dog, one sells pizza and another sells ice cream! There are also a few shops in this area and a Salty Dog gift shop. It is definitely worth the drive!! Also don't forget to check out the three Macaws that have a little hang out. If you catch them on a good day they might actually talk to you.
